A weight loss application that tackles one of the hardest problems in digital health: why do people fail at diets even when they know what to do? Built with wellness consultants Emergency Happiness to address the psychological barriers, not just the calorie math.
The challenge was not to create just another tracking app – it was designing a system that keeps people committed over months when motivation fades. We built an hourglass visualization that makes abstract weight loss feel tangible and inevitable, implemented a food planning system that lets users set boundaries without triggering all-or-nothing thinking, and integrated AI coaching that provides support exactly when users need it most.
The technical complexity – natural language parsing for log entries, ensemble pattern-matching for personalized guidance retrieval, dual-fallback AI infrastructure – exists entirely in service of removing friction from the user experience. Users describe it as "finally, something that works" because the engineering solved the real problem, not just the obvious one.
